Abstract
El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo como propósito determinar la influencia del género en la
autoestima en niños y niñas de 09 a 13 años del servicio juguemos sonRIE – Municipalidad distrital
de Belén – 2016. El método empleado fue el descriptivo transversal, la muestra determinada por
conveniencia estuvo conformada por 50 participantes, a quienes se aplicó el Test de Stanley Cooper
Smith (según estudios la veracidad de la prueba-reprueba del SEI era de 0,88 para una muestra de
50 niños). Los datos fueron procesados en el programa estadístico SPSS versión 23,0, teniendo en
cuenta la edad y el género. Los resultados obtenidos mostraron que en forma mayoritaria los niños
presentaron autoestima medio alto (92%); las dimensiones del autoestima con mayor puntuación
promedio fueron la dimensión escuela (64,32), seguido de la dimensión social pares (53,2%) y dimensión si
mismo (50,82). El género no influye en la autoestima en los participantes de la entidad municipal
donde se realizó la investigación, no existiendo diferencias en los niveles de autoestima según
género.
The purpose of this research was to determine the influence of gender on self - esteem in boys and girl between 9 and 13 years old in “juguemos sonRIE” social service – Belen District Municpality - 2016. The method used was the cross – sectional descriptive, the sample determined by convenience consisted of 50 participants, to whom the Stanley Cooper Smith Test was applied (according to studies the accuracy of the SEI test – re –test was 0.88 for a sample of 50 children). The data was processed in the statistical program SPSS version 23,0 including age and gender – sensitive. The results obtained showed that the majority of the children had high average self esteem (92%); the dimensions of self – esteem with higher average scores were the school dimension (64,32), followed by the social dimension pairs (53,2%) and dimension itself (50,82%). The gender does not influence the self – esteem in the participants of the municipal entity where the research was carried out, there were no differences in the levels of self – esteem by gender.
