Abstract
The objective of this research was to address the following posed problema: What is the prevalence of enteroparasites in patients who attend the Caballococha EsSalud Primary Care Center II from January to December 2022? The research objective was: Determine the prevalence of enteroparasites in patients who attend the Caballococha EsSalud II Primary Care Center from January to December 2022. Material and methods: The present study is quantitative and retrospective, with a descriptive non-experimental approach. A sample of 6424 patients was analyzed through direct parasite evaluation, and the statistical software SPSS version 25 was used to process the data. Results: Of the documented cases, 28.21% were positive, totaling 1815 patients. It is notable that men had a higher prevalence than women, with 16.04% versus 12.17%, respectively. Additionally, the 31-40 age group showed the highest number of positive cases in both genders. The geographical distribution also showed significant variations, with Ramón Castilla registering the highest prevalence, followed by Pebas and Yavarí, indicating possible environmental and socioeconomic influences on the incidence of parasitosis. Conclusions: A significant variability is observed in the prevalence of parasites between the different origins of the patients, suggesting the influence of environmental, social and economic factors. These findings highlight the importance of implementing prevention and control strategies for parasitic diseases, as well as the need for continued studies to better understand the determinants of parasitosis in the region.
