Abstract
Introducción: El cáncer de cuello uterino es un problema de salud
pública mundial. Es una de las amenazas más graves para la vida de
las mujeres luego del cáncer de mama. Las medidas de prevención son
el Papanicolaou, la IVAA, la colposcopia, siempre y cuando se realicen
periódicamente.
Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento sobre
cáncer de cuello del útero y las prácticas preventivas en mujeres
atendidas en el P.S Progreso Iquitos Setiembre 2020.
Metodología: Estudio de tipo cuantitativo, diseño no experimental
descriptivo transversal, correlacional y prospectivo. La muestra lo
conformaron 60 usuarias.
Resultados: El 33.3% de las mujeres tienen entre 26 a 32 años, 56.6%
son convivientes, 63.3% con educación secundaria, el 90% iniciaron sus
relaciones sexuales entre 15 y 19 años, el 80.0% tuvieron entre 2 a 5
hijos y el 95% no presentaron antecedente de familiar con cáncer de
cuello uterino, el 56.7% tuvieron nivel de conocimientos Alto, seguido
del 35% con nivel de conocimientos bajo. La práctica preventiva
principal fue el Papanicolaou realizada por el 63.3% de las mujeres.
Conclusión: No se encontró relación entre nivel de conocimiento y
prácticas preventivas sobre cáncer de cuello uterino.
Cervical cancer is a global public health problem. It is one of the most serious threats to women's lives after breast cancer. Prevention measures are Pap smear, VIA, colposcopy, as long as they are performed periodically. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about cervical cancer and preventive practices in women treated at the P.S Progreso Iquitos September 2020. Methodology: Quantitative type study, non-experimental descriptive crosssectional, correlational and prospective design. The sample was made up of 60 users. Results: 33.3% of the women are between 26 and 32 years old, 56.6% are cohabiting, 63.3% with secondary education, 90% started their sexual relations between 15 and 19 years old, 80.0% had between 2 and 5 children and the 95% had no family history of cervical cancer, 56.7% had a high level of knowledge, followed by 35% with a low level of knowledge. The main preventive practice was the Pap smear performed by 63.3% of the women Conclusion: No relationship was found between the level of knowledge and preventive practices on cervical cancer.
