Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo evaluar la perdida de hábitat y su efecto en la disponibilidad de alimentos de la especie Inia Geoffrensis geoffrensis en el rio Yarapa, aplicando técnicas de ingeniería y mediciones hidroacústicas para la evaluación.
La problemática fue responder ¿Cómo se examinará la perdida de hábitat de la especie Inía Geoffrensis geoffrensis en el rio Yarapa y cómo afecta esto a la disponibilidad de alimentos de la especie?. Para contestar las preguntas planteadas la metodología de la investigación fue de tipo experimental y el diseño es descriptivo. En la obtención de información se realizaron revisiones bibliográficas complementadas con trabajo en campo, procesamiento y análisis.
Se calculó el valor general del índice de degradación de ecosistemas acuático obteniendo valores altos, entre 4.5 y 4.8, en muestreos realizados en diciembre (Vaciante) 2020 y Junio (creciente) de 2021. Cabe mencionar que se incrementa su impacto durante el periodo de creciente en la categoría de explotación de especies, específicamente en la actividad de pesquerías y principalmente en tráfico de embarcaciones, esto estimula el proceso de migraciones de especies acuáticas impactando directamente a la dieta de inía geoffrensis geoffrensis. los resultados obtenidos coinciden con lo expuesto por Gómez (2012) y Mosquera (2015).
The objective of the research was to evaluate the loss of habitat and its effect on the food availability of the Inia Geoffrensis geoffrensis species in the Yarapa River, applying engineering techniques and hydroacoustic measurements for the evaluation. The problem was to answer: How will the loss of habitat of the species Inía Geoffrensis geoffrensis in the Yarapa river be examined and how does this affect the availability of food for the species? To answer the questions posed, the research methodology was experimental and the design is descriptive. In obtaining information, complementary bibliographic reviews with fieldwork, processing and analysis were carried out. The general value of the degradation index of aquatic ecosystems was calculated, obtaining high values, between 4.5 and 4.8, in samplings carried out in December (Vaciante) 2020 and June (increasing) of 2021. It is worth mentioning that its impact increases during the period of increasing in the category of exploitation of species, specifically in the activity of fisheries and mainly in traffic of boats, this stimulates the process of migrations of aquatic species directly impacting on the diet of inía geoffrensis geoffrensis. The results obtained coincide with what was stated by Gómez (2012) and Mosquera (2015).
