Abstract

Objective: It was to determine the comparative relationship of the two locations of the Emanuel Specialized Clinic to determine the prevalence of SARS-COV-2 in symptomatic respiratory patients during the months of January to June 2021 Method: A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out with retrospective information collection, in which observation and documentary analysis were used as an instrument since the data of the epidemiological records were reviewed with a total of 788 epidemiological records of the two institutions of the symptomatic respiratory patients treated at the Emanuel specialized clinic during the period January to June 2021 and who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Results: The number of patients with respiratory symptoms due to sarscov2 by headquarters, Punchana headquarters 325 and Bethlehem 279, it was recorded that it was in the month of March 2021 with 26% of positive cases and April for Bethlehem 24% of positive cases. It was found that the age group with the highest number of positive cases was 18 to 30 years old with 31%(57). It was found that the sex with the highest number of cases was 51% for punchana and 60% for the Belén site. Conclusions: it is concluded that there is no significant relationship between the results of sars-cov2 and the conditioning factor of sex and age in the patients who attend the two locations of the Emanuel specialized clinic during the months of January to June 2021 and it is evidenced with the prevalence of sars-cov2, for the punchana site with a total of 425 patients and of them a prevalence of 24% for sars-cov2 and for the belen site with a total of 363 patients and of them a prevalence of 23% for sars-cov2.
