La muestra estuvo conformada por 252 alumnos de la carrera técnica en enfermería del Instituto Superior Tecnológico Reyna de las Américas. Los resultados arrojaron que el nivel de conocimiento de alumnos, presentaron un nivel de conocimiento regular con 47,6% y el 30% presentó un nivel de conocimiento bueno. En cuanto al índice de higiene oral de alumnos, el 57,1% presentaron una higiene oral regular, el 40,9% presentó una higiene oral mala y el 2% una higiene oral buena. Se concluye que existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre las variables en estudio.The general objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about dental caries prevention and oral hygiene in students of a technological institute in the district of Iquitos - Iquitos 2024. The sample was made up of 252 students of the technical career in nursing. from the Reyna de las Américas Higher Technological Institute. The results showed that the level of knowledge of the students presented a regular level of knowledge with 47.6% and 30% presented a good level of knowledge. Regarding the oral hygiene index of students, 57.1% had regular oral hygiene, 40.9% had poor oral hygiene and 2% had good oral hygiene.
