Abstract
The objective of the study was: To determine the extent to which green areas are related to sustainable development in inhabitants of the urbanization Virgen de Loreto - Iquitos, 2023. It was a cross-sectional correlational, non-experimental design. The population consisted of 57 residents of the Virgen de Loreto urbanization, and the sample consisted of 100% of the population, that is, the 57 inhabitants, randomly selected. The information was collected using a survey/questionnaire. For the analysis of the information of both variables, descriptive statistics (univariate analysis) and inferential statistics (bivariate analysis) nonparametric chi-square (X2) were used for the demonstration of the hypothesis. The result showed that: X2C = 14.86 > X2t = 9.49, gl = 4, p < 0.05% and the contingency coefficient was r 0 45%, medium degree, with which the research hypothesis was accepted: Green Areas are related in medium degree with in Sustainable Development in inhabitants of the urbanization Virgen de Loreto - Iquitos, 2023.
