Abstract
The study aimed to determine the behavior of oil production and the payment of royalties and oil fees. A quantitative approach methodology was used with a non-experimental cross-sectional design and correlational scope. The study sample is explained by the inclusion criteria. To collect the data, statistical sheets for information consolidation were used. The results showed that Loreto has significant importance in the context of the country in the behavior of oil activity; who shows growth in the years 2018 and 2019, and reduction in the year 2020; and then grows again, but without reaching the volumes of barrels of previous decades. By the year 2023 the result was 47.20% compared to the year 2017. Oil production in Loreto has been affected by environmental and social problems, which has led to the decline of production in most of the lots. Currently, only lot 95 is producing oil in the region. In summary, the total amount of royalties during the period from 2017 to 2023 was US$243.11 million. Initially, revenues came mainly from lots 192 and 8, but by 2023 most of the royalties came from lot Loreto 95. Law 24300 establishes the distribution of the shares received by the institutions of the department and this regulation will continue to apply until 2023
