El propósito de este estudio fue Determinar la relación que existe entre el
nivel conocimiento y práctica de medidas preventivas sobre VIH/SIDA en
adolescentes del colegio Petronila Perea De Fernando, 2023. El diseño
del estudio fue cuantitativo, no experimental, descriptivo, correlacional y
prospectivo. La muestra consistió en 153 adolescentes que tienen edades
entre 12 y 17 años del colegio Petronila Perea De Fernando, 2023. La
técnica utilizada fue una entrevista. Se empleó un cuestionario previo
otorgamiento de consentimiento informado por parte del tutor y/o
adolescente, para evaluar el conocimiento y la práctica de medidas
preventivas sobre el VIH/SIDA en adolescentes. Se obtuvo una validez
del instrumento de 0,8193, lo que indica una buena validez y
concordancia, y una confiabilidad del instrumento de 0,827, según el
coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach. Los resultados mostraron que el 92
(92.3%) de adolescentes poseen conocimiento adecuado, de los cuales
56 (55.6%) son femeninas y 36 (35.7%) son masculinos; asimismo 61
(60.7%) de adolescentes poseen un conocimiento inadecuado sobre
VIH/SIDA, siendo 29 (28.9%) del sexo femenino y 32 (31.8%) masculinos
respectivamente, por otro lado el 57 (56.5%) practican medidas
preventivas y poseen conocimiento adecuado sobre VIH/SIDA, y solo el
28 (27.9%) si practican medidas preventivas y poseen un conocimiento
inadecuado; así también se observa que 45 (44.8%) no practican medidas
preventivas y poseen conocimiento adecuado sobre VIH/SIDA, y solo el
23 (22.9%) no practican medidas preventivas y poseen un conocimiento
inadecuado. Se concluyó que no existe relación estadísticamente
significativa (p>0,05) entre el conocimiento y las prácticas de medidas
preventivas en VIH/SIDA, con valor de significancia bilateral p = 0,639.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship that exists
between the level of knowledge and practice of preventive measures on
HIV/AIDS in adolescents at the Petronila Perea De Fernando school,
2023. The study design was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive,
correlational and prospective. . The sample consisted of 153 adolescents
between the ages of 12 and 17 from the Petronila Perea De Fernando
school, 2023. The technique used was an interview. A questionnaire was
used after granting informed consent by the guardian and/or adolescent,
to evaluate the knowledge and practice of preventive measures on
HIV/AIDS in adolescents. An instrument validity of 0.8193 was obtained,
indicating good validity and agreement, and an instrument reliability of
0.827, according to Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The results showed that
92 (92.3%) of adolescents have adequate knowledge, of which 56 (55.6%)
are female and 36 (35.7%) are male; Likewise, 61 (60.7%) of adolescents
have inadequate knowledge about HIV/AIDS, with 29 (28.9%) being
female and 32 (31.8%) male respectively, on the other hand, 57 (56.5%)
practice preventive measures and have knowledge. adequate information
about HIV/AIDS, and only 28 (27.9%) practice preventive measures and
have inadequate knowledge; Likewise, it is also observed that 45 (44.8%)
