Nivel de conocimiento y actitudes sexuales actuales en adolescentes del 1ero, 2do y 3er grado de educación secundaria de una institución educativa parroquial y una institución educativa pública de la ciudad de Iquitos

Abstract

La presente investigación tuvo como objetivo general, determinar el nivel de conocimientos y de actitudes sexuales que presentan los estudiantes del 1er, 2do y 3er grado de Educación Secundaria, de una Institución Educativa Pública y una Institución Educativa Parroquial de la Ciudad de Iquitos. El diseño que se emplea en la presente investigación es descriptivo comparativo. Aplicando la muestra finita y la muestra aleatoria estratificada, obtuvimos una muestra de 70 estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Pública "MORB", y 62 estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Parroquial "San Martin", a quiénes se aplicó un cuestionario de conocimientos sexuales, características sociodemográficas y un test de actitudes sexuales. Obteniéndose los siguientes resultados: de la Institución Educativa Pública "MORB", el 72,9% tiene conocimientos generales sobre sexualidad y el 27,1% no tienen conocimientos generales sobre sexualidad, frente al 72,6% de estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Parroquial "San Martin" que tienen conocimientos generales sobre la sexualidad, y el 27,4% que no tienen conocimientos generales sobre la sexualidad. Según actitudes sexuales se puede notar un mayor porcentaje en la Institución Educativa Parroquial "San Martin" del 72,6% que están de acuerdo sobre las actitudes generales hacia la sexualidad, el 12,3% no está ni en acuerdo, ni en desacuerdo, y el 8,1% está en desacuerdo; frente al 51,4% de la Institución Educativa Pública "MORB", que están de acuerdo sobre las actitudes generales hacia la sexualidad, el 21,4% no está de acuerdo ni en desacuerdo y el 27,2% está en desacuerdo. Referente a las características sociodemográficas tenemos los siguientes resultados, de la Institución Educativa Parroquial "San Martin", el 50,0% son del sexo femenino y el otro 50,0% son del sexo masculino, mientras que de la Institución Educativa Pública "MORB" el 54,3% son del sexo masculino y el 45,7% son del sexo femenino; referente con quiénes viven los estudiantes, de la Institución Educativa Parroquial "San Martin", existe un mayor porcentaje de 61,3% que viven con ambos padres, 37,1% viven con un sólo padre y el 1,6% viven con otro familiar, frente al 51,4% que viven con ambos padres, 35,7% con un sólo padre y el 12,9% que viven con otros familiares de la Institución Educativa Pública XIV "MORB". De acuerdo si han tenido enamorado (a), un 90,0% de estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Pública "MORB", manifestó no haber tenido enamorado(a), y sólo un 10,0% indicó que sí tuvieron o que cuentan actualmente con enamorado(a); frente a los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa "San Martin", el 58,1% manifestó no haber tenido enamorado(a), y el 41,9% indicó que sí tuvieron o que cuentan actualmente con enamorado(a). De acuerdo a las relaciones sexuales, el 85,5% de estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Parroquial "San Martin" manifestó no haber tenido relaciones sexuales, y el 14,5% indicó que sí habían tenido relaciones sexuales, frente a los estudiantes de la Institución Educativa Pública, "MORB", manifestaron que el 68,6% no habían tenido relaciones sexuales y que el 31,4% sí habían tenido relaciones sexuales. Por lo tanto en esta investigación, concluimos que: los dos colegios, tanto el público como el parroquial, cuentan con conocimientos y actitudes generales sobre sexualidad; pero también existe un porcentaje que no es favorable, que nos lleva a indicar que tanto los colegios, como los padres; deben hacer de la educación sexual, un tema más compartido y responsable de todas las familias.

The main objective of the present research was to determine the level of knowledge and sexual attitudes presented by the students of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade of Secondary Education, of a Public Educational Institution and a Parochial Educational Institution of the City of Iquitos. The design used in the present investigation is descriptive comparative. Applying the finite sample and the stratified random sample, we obtained a sample of 70 students of the Public Educational Institution "MORB", and 62 students of the Parochial Educational Institution "San Martin", to whom a questionnaire of sexual knowledge, sociodemographic characteristics was applied and a test of sexual attitudes. Obtaining the following results: of the Public Educational Institution "MORB", 72.9% have general knowledge about sexuality and 27.1% do not have general knowledge about sexuality, compared to 72.6% of students of the Parochial Educational Institution "San Martin" who have general knowledge about sexuality, and 27.4% who do not have general knowledge about sexuality. According to sexual attitudes, a higher percentage can be seen in the "San Martin" Parish Educational Institution of 72.6% who agree on general attitudes towards sexuality, 12.3% are neither in agreement nor in disagreement, and 8.1% disagree; compared to 51.4% of the Public Educational Institution "MORB", which agree on general attitudes toward sexuality, 21.4% disagree or disagree and 27.2% disagree. Regarding the sociodemographic characteristics we have the following results, from the Parochial Educational Institution "San Martin", 50.0% are female and the other 50.0% are male, while the Public Educational Institution "MORB "54.3% are male and 45.7% are female; Regarding the students who live in the Parish Educational Institution "San Martin", there is a higher percentage of 61.3% who live with both parents, 37.1% live with one parent and 1.6% live with another family, compared to 51.4% who live with both parents, 35.7% with one parent and 12.9% who live with other relatives of the Public Educational Institution "MORB". According to whether they have been in love, 90.0% of students of the Public Educational Institution "MORB", said they had not had a crush, and only 10.0% indicated that they had or currently have with a love; in front of the students of the Educational Institution "San Martin", 58.1% said they had not had a crush, and 41.9% indicated that they did or that they currently have a crush. According to sexual relations, 85.5% of students of the Parish Educational Institution "San Martin" said they had not had sexual relations, and 14.5% indicated that they had had sexual relations, in front of the students of the Public Educational Institution, "MORB", stated that 68.6% had not had sexual relations and that 31.4% had had sexual relations. Therefore in this investigation, we conclude that: both schools, both public and private, have general knowledge and attitudes about sexuality; but there is also a percentage that is not favorable, which leads us to indicate that both schools and parents; They should make sex education a more shared and responsible topic for all families.
