Conocimiento y actitudes sobre el aborto en adolescentes de la comunidad Cabo López, octubre 2020

Abstract

Introducción Las cifras estadísticas del aborto en el Perú y en nuestra región, muestran incremento en el número de abortos. Por el cual es reconocido como un problema de Salud Pública, por su magnitud, la gravedad de sus consecuencias y su repercusión psicológica, social y económica. Son relativamente escasos los intentos que se han hecho por identificar los conocimientos; es decir, la información que tienen sobre el tema, asimismo las actitudes hacia esta problemática, indicando que se siga investigando. Objetivo Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y actitudes sobre el aborto en adolescentes de la comunidad Cabo López, octubre 2020. Resultados Del total de adolescentes encuestados el 66.0% tuvieron entre 12 a 14 años, seguido del 56.0% que fueron de sexo masculino, el 64.0% tenía secundaria incompleta y solo el 82.0% eran de religión católica; el 80.0% de adolescentes encuestados tuvo un nivel de conocimiento bueno, seguido del 10.0% de adolescentes con conocimiento regular y malo; el 72.0% de adolescentes tuvieron una actitud positiva y solo el 28.0% tuvieron una actitud negativa. Conclusión Se encontró relación significativa (p= 0.042) entre el nivel de conocimiento y actitudes sobre el aborto en adolescentes.Introduction Statistical figures on abortion in Peru and in our region show an increase in the number of abortions. For which it is recognized as a Public Health problem, due to its magnitude, the seriousness of its consequences and its psychological, social and economic repercussions. Relatively few attempts have been made to identify knowledge; that is to say, the information they have on the subject, as well as their attitudes towards this problem, indicating that it should continue to be investigated. Objective Determine the level of knowledge and attitudes about abortion in adolescents in the Cabo López community, October 2020. Results Of the total of adolescents surveyed, 66.0% were between 12 and 14 years old, followed by 56.0% who were male, 64.0% had incomplete high school and only 82.0% were Catholic; 80.0% of adolescents surveyed had a good level of knowledge, followed by 10.0% of adolescents with fair and bad knowledge; 72.0% of adolescents had a positive attitude and only 28.0% had a negative attitude. Conclution A significant relationship (p = 0.042) was found between the level of knowledge and attitudes about abortion in adolescents.
