Abstract
Introducción: El condón masculino es el único método de control natal temporal para hombres que reduce de manera efectiva el contagio de infecciones de transmisión sexual, incluyendo el VIH/SIDA.
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre el uso del preservativo masculino en adolescentes que acuden a la IPRESS I-4 Requena, 2020
Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo no experimental de diseño descriptivo y prospectivo; cuya muestra estuvo conformada por 81 adolescentes que acudieron a la IPRESS I-4 Requena durante el mes de diciembre 2020.
Resultados: Los resultados muestran que el 51.9% de los adolescentes presentaron un nivel de conocimiento bueno sobre el uso correcto del preservativo masculino, seguido del 28.4% nivel regular y solo el 19.8% tuvieron un mal nivel de conocimiento; los menores de 14 tuvieron una menor frecuencia de buen conocimiento (18.2%, p=0.076), no hubo diferencia con el sexo (p=0.478), el 61.7% de los adolescentes que iniciaron sus relaciones sexuales y tienen pareja sexual (p=0.010) tuvieron buen nivel de conocimiento; los adolescentes con una pareja sexual (70.3%) tuvieron mayor frecuencia de buen nivel de conocimiento que los que tienen dos (46.7%) o con más parejas (50%) (p=0.035)
Conclusiones: Más del 50% de los adolescentes de ambos sexos que se atienen en el IPRESS I-4 de Requena tienen un nivel de conocimiento buen
Introduction: The male condom is the only temporary birth control method for men that effectively reduces the spread of sexually transmitted infections, including HIV / AIDS. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge about the use of the male condom in adolescents who attend the IPRESS I-4 Requena, 2020. Methodology: Non-experimental quantitative study of descriptive and prospective design; whose sample consisted of 81 adolescents who attended the IPRESS I-4 Requena during the month of December 2020.
