Abstract
Objetivo: Establecer la relación entre la caries dental y la higiene oral en
niños de instituciones educativas iniciales, en el distrito de Iquitos y San
Juan Bautista – 2023.
Metodología: Fue de tipo cuantitativo de diseño observacional transversal,
prospectivo y correlacional. La muestra estará conformada por 238 niños.
Resultados: El 36,6% de niños presentó un índice CEOD muy bajo, el
10,5% tuvo un índice CEOD bajo, el 9,2% tuvo un índice CEOD moderado,
el 15,1% tuvo un índice CEOD alto y el 28,6% tuvo un índice CEOD muy
alto. El 55,5% de niños presentó buena higiene oral, y el 44,5% presentó
regular higiene oral.
Conclusión: Existe relación significativa entre la caries dental y la higiene
oral en niños de las Institución Educativas Iniciales del distrito de Iquitos y
San Juan Bautista, 2023
