Abstract
Los métodos anticonceptivos son procedimientos que previenen o reducen significativamente las posibilidades de una fecundación en mujeres fértiles, ya sean ellas o sus parejas quienes los usen.
Objetivo
Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre métodos anticonceptivos de los estudiantes del 5° de secundaria de la Institución Educativa San José de Indiana, en el año 2019.
Metodología
Estudio tipo cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo transversal retrospectivo, muestra de 77 alumnos de 5° de secundaria de la Institución Educativa San José; encuesta de 15 preguntas de conocimiento básico, uso y tipos de métodos anticonceptivos.
Resultados
El 44% tuvo un nivel de conocimiento Medio sobre métodos anticonceptivos, 36% nivel bajo y 20% nivel alto; el 55% fueron varones y 45% mujeres; la edad que predominó fue 16 años; el 83% recibió información por medios digitales y tradicionales; el 42.86% tuvo nivel medio en conocimiento básico de métodos anticonceptivos, 42.86% nivel medio sobre tipos y el 41.26% tuvo un nivel de conocimiento bajo sobre usos.
Conclusiones
Los estudiantes requieren intervenciones educativas de educación sexual para una mejor orientación sobre los métodos anticonceptivos y su uso correcto.
