Abstract
El manejo de los residuos sólidos hospitalarios, es un sistema de seguridad sanitaria que se inicia en el punto de generación, para continuar su manejo en las diferentes unidades del hospital, hasta asegurar que llegue a su destino final fuera del establecimiento, para su tratamiento o disposición adecuada. El presente trabajo de investigación “Evaluación del Manejo de Residuos Sólidos Hospitalarios en el Hospital Regional De Loreto Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias, enero - marzo, 2022”, tuvo su desarrollo bajo el contexto de evaluar el manejo de los residuos sólidos generados en el Hospital Regional de Loreto, su principales objetivos fueron evaluar el ciclo de manejo de los residuos sólidos hospitalarios, determinar la caracterización de los residuos sólidos hospitalarios en cada servicio y determinar el nivel de conocimiento de los trabajadores sobre la norma del plan de manejo de RSH. La investigación fue de tipo descriptiva, el diseño de la investigación fue descriptivo transversal. La población estuvo conformada por el personal que labora en el hospital y que generan residuos sólidos a diario. Entre los resultados se determinó una generación promedio diaria de aproximadamente es un promedio de 650 a 710 Kg por día, así mismo se tiene por clase de residuos un promedio de: bio contaminados 352 kg/día, residuos especiales 0 kg/día y residuos comunes 353 kg/día. Se pudo determinar que el personal asistencial se encuentra debidamente capacitado en cuanto a manejo de Residuos Sólidos Hospitalarios. Estos resultados demuestran que más del 90% de los entrevistados reconoce la importancia de adquirir conocimientos técnicos y capacidades profesionales relacionadas al manejo de los residuos sólidos hospitalarios, en el marco de políticas de bioseguridad y epidemiológicas desarrolladas por el establecimiento.

These results show that more than 90% of the interviewees recognize the importance of acquiring technical knowledge and professional skills related to the management of hospital solid waste, within the framework of biosafety and epidemiological policies developed by the establishment.
