Abstract
Objetivo
Determinar los factores asociados al rechazo del tamizaje de Papanicolaou
en mujeres de 25 a 64 años que residen en el Centro Poblado de
Manacamiri, 2024.
Metodología
La investigación fue de tipo cuantitativo, diseño descriptivo, transversal y
prospectivo; con un tamaño muestral de 118 mujeres entre 25 a 64 años
que cumplieron con los criterios de selección.
Resultados
Los factores sociodemográficos encontrados en las participantes fueron;
edades entre 35 a 54 años en un 46.6%, convivientes con 45.8% y
ocupación ama de casa en 92.4%; sin embargo, en los factores familiares;
el 89.0% no tuvo antecedentes de cáncer ginecológico, así como la no
influencia de familiares (80.5%) y la pareja (83.1%) para el tamizaje;
asimismo; en los factores culturales, el 52.5% fueron evangélicas, además
de indicar que el principal motivo para la no realización del Papanicolaou
fue el miedo en un 61.9% y desconocimiento del procedimiento en el
51.7%. En los factores de la oferta de servicio indicaron que no hubo
demora en la atención (73.7%), sin embargo, manifestaron demora en la
entrega de los resultados (58.5%).
Conclusión
Existen factores sociodemográficos, familiares, culturales y de la oferta de
servicio asociados al rechazo del tamizaje de Papanicolaou.
Objective Determine the factors associated with the rejection of Papanicolaou screening in women aged 25 to 64 years who reside in the Manacamiri Population Center, 2024. Methodology The research was quantitative, descriptive, transversal and prospective design; with a sample size of 118 women between 25 and 64 years old who met the selection criteria. Results The sociodemographic factors found in the participants were; ages between 35 to 54 years in 46.6%, cohabitants with 45.8% and occupation as a housewife in 92.4%; however, in family factors; 89.0% had no history of gynecological cancer, as well as the lack of influence of family members (80.5%) and partners (83.1%) for screening; in addition; In cultural factors, 52.5% were evangelical, in addition to indicating that the main reason for not having the Pap smear was fear in 61.9% and ignorance of the procedure in 51.7%. In the service offer factors, they indicated that there was no delay in care (73.7%), however, they expressed delay in the delivery of the results (58.5%). Conclusion There are sociodemographic, family, cultural and service offer factors associated with the rejection of Pap screening.
