Hipomineralización incisivo molar y caries dental, en alumnos del nivel primario de centros educativos estatales, en los distritos de Iquitos y Punchana – 2023

Abstract
Determinar la existencia y relación entre la Hipomineralización Incisivo Molar y Caries dental, en alumnos del nivel primario de las I.E.P.M Nº 60008 “Amada Pérez de Gómez” del distrito de Iquitos y la I.E.P.M Nº 61015 “La Inmaculada” del distrito de Punchana – 2023.
Método: El estudio fue cuantitativo, de diseño observacional, trasversal, prospectivo, correlacional. Cuya muestra fue 162 alumnos.
Resultados: En el estudio se encontró mayor predominio en alumnos de 12 años 33,3%; predominó el sexo masculino 82,7%; la procedencia con mayor porcentaje fue el distrito de Punchana 68,5%; el grado con mayor porcentaje fue quinto grado 48,8%; en relación al índice CPOD los datos arrojados fue muy alto 43,8%; se presentó una elevada prevalencia de caries 92%; en cuanto a la HMI según el grado de severidad: leve 32,3%, moderado 22,3%; presentando una elevada prevalencia de hipomineralización en molares e incisivos 90,2%; en cuanto a la relación de las variables, los alumnos que presentaron HMI el 87,1% presentó caries, y el 4,9% no presentó; se muestra la prueba de Chi cuadrado, con un X2c= 42,381; p= 0.000 < 0.05.
Conclusión: Se encontró que, si hay relación entre la hipomineralización incisivo molar y la caries dental en alumnos del nivel primario de Centros Educativos Estatales, en los distritos de Iquitos y Punchana.
