Abstract
Objetivo.
Determinar la frecuencia y las características de violencia obstétrica en
gestantes atendidas en el Hospital Iquitos César Garayar García de
setiembre 2022 a enero 2023.
Metodología.
Estudio de investigación de tipo cuantitativo. El diseño de investigación
descriptivo, corte transversal y prospectivo. La población conformada por
1050 gestantes. La muestra estuvo conformada 384.
Resultado.
La frecuencia de violencia obstétrica en el Hospital Iquitos César Garayar
es del 8,07%. En las características sociodemográficas se encuentra
gestantes de 20 a 35 años en el 51,6%; nivel de estudios secundario 38,7%;
estado civil conviviente 56,6% y procedentes de zona urbana en el 51,6%.
En las características obstétricas: multiparidad con el 56% y en el 80,6%
los partos fueron atendidos por profesional obstetra. En las prácticas de
violencia obstétrica predomina la violencia obstétrica física con el 58,1%,
seguido de la violencia psicológica con el 41,9% y el personal de salud que
ejerce violencia obstétrica fue el técnico de enfermería con el 32,3%.
Conclusión.
Se concluye que en el Hospital Iquitos César Garayar García de setiembre
2022 a enero 2023 hubo violencia obstétrica.
Objective. To determine the frequency and characteristics of obstetric violence in pregnant women treated at the Iquitos César Garayar García Hospital from September 2022 to January 2023. Methodology. Quantitative research study. The descriptive, cross-sectional and prospective research design. The population made up of 1050 pregnant women. The sample consisted of 384. Outcome. The frequency of obstetric violence at Hospital Iquitos César Garayar is 8.07%. In the sociodemographic characteristics, pregnant women between 20 and 35 years of age are found in 51.6%; secondary education level 38.7%; 56.6% cohabiting marital status and 51.6% coming from urban areas. In the obstetric characteristics: multiparity with 56% and in 80.6% the deliveries were attended by an obstetrician professional. In obstetric violence practices, physical obstetric violence predominates with 58.1%, followed by psychological violence with 41.9% and the health personnel who exercise obstetric violence was the nursing technician with 32.3%. Conclusion. It is concluded that in the Hospital Iquitos César Garayar García from September 2022 to January 2023 there was obstetric violence.
