Abstract
Introducción: El retardo de crecimiento intrauterino es un problema de salud prevalente en nuestro país, con mayor tasa en regiones de selva y sierra, la identificación de factores predisponente permite en establecer políticas de prevención y promoción para su reducción
Objetivo: Determinar los factores maternos asociados a retraso de crecimiento intrauterino en un Hospital Nivel III de la ciudad de Iquitos, 2020
Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo de diseño observacional, analítico, caso control, con 32 casos de madres con recién nacido con RCIU, y 64 controles.
Resultados: Los factores que se asociaron significativamente con la presencia de recién nacido con RCIU fueron menores de 20 años (OR=4.61, p=0.002), mayores de 34 años (OR= 2.27, p=0.000), madres procedente de la zona urbano marginal (OR=4.38, p=0.018); nulíparas (OR=11.52, p =0.018), insuficientes atenciones prenatales (OR=4.91, p=0.000), bajo peso pregestacional (OR=7.89, p=0.001), madres anémicas (OR=3.71, p=0.041), madres con hipertensión inducida en el embarazo (OR=4.50, p=0.043) y madres con preeclampsia (OR= 6.00, p=0.044)
Conclusión: Los factores maternos sociodemográficos y obstétricos se asocian a la presencia de recién nacido con RCIU.
