Abstract
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimientos sobre salud bucal en
gestantes, atendidas en el establecimiento de salud I-PRESS III
PROGRESO en el distrito de San Juan Bautista – 2023.
Materiales y Métodos: El tipo de estudio no experimental, transversal,
prospectivo y diseño descriptivo. En la muestra se incluyeron 69 gestantes que
pertenecían al establecimiento de salud I-PRESS III PROGRESO en el distrito
de San Juan Bautista. Se utilizó una encuesta con 22 preguntas para medir el
nivel de conocimiento sobre salud bucal en gestantes, lo conforman cuatro
dimensiones de conocimiento: prevención en salud bucal, principales
enfermedades bucales, cuidados de cuidados de la salud bucal y crecimiento y
desarrollo de los dientes.
Resultados: Los resultados de cada dimensión que conforman el presente
trabajo de investigación son los siguientes:
El nivel de conocimiento de gestantes sobre prevención en salud bucal fue de
44,9% que corresponde a un nivel bueno, seguido de un nivel regular con un
30,4%.
El mayor porcentaje obtenido fue de 63,8% que corresponde a un nivel malo de
conocimiento sobre principales enfermedades bucales.
Con respecto al nivel de conocimiento sobre cuidados de la salud bucal, el
mayor porcentaje fue regular con 49,3%
El nivel de conocimiento sobre crecimiento y desarrollo de los dientes el mayor
porcentaje fue regular con 50.7%.

The sample included 69 pregnant women who belonged to the health facility in the district of San Juan Bautista. A survey with 22 questions was used to measure the level of knowledge about oral health in pregnant women, made up of four dimensions of knowledge: oral health prevention, main oral diseases, oral health care, and growth and development of teeth. Results: The level of knowledge of pregnant women about oral health prevention was 44.9%, which corresponds to a good level, followed by a regular level with 30.4%. The highest percentage obtained was 63.8%, which corresponds to a poor level of knowledge about the main oral diseases. Regarding the level of knowledge about health care, the highest percentage was regular with 49.3% and the level of knowledge about growth and development of teeth the highest percentage was regular with 50.7%.
