Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo describir el impacto del Covid-19 en la economía del sector turismo, realizando un comparativo respecto al Producto Bruto Interno (PBI) de las regiones Loreto, San Martín y Ucayali; así como el origen y tendencia de arribo de los turistas nacionales y extranjeros en el período del 2015 al 2020.
Su metodología fue descriptiva, no experimental y longitudinal; teniendo como población de estudio a los turistas nacionales y extranjeros; y como muestra a los que visitaron las regiones Loreto, San Martín y Ucayali.
Concluyen que, hubo una fluctuación en el PBI de las regiones, siendo el año 2020 el que experimentó una drástica caída a consecuencia del Covid-19, en un -48% en la región Loreto, -3.6 en la región San Martín y -13.0 en la región Ucayali. Además, es la región San Martín donde concentra la mayor cantidad de arribos por parte de turistas, sin embargo; es la región Loreto la que recibe la mayor cantidad de turistas extranjeros (23% del total) y San Martín la que menos recibe (2% del total).
