Abstract
Ceod y nivel de urgencia de tratamientos odontológicos (X2=181.000; gl=5;
p=0.000; p<0.05).
Objective: To evaluate the prevalence of dental caries and the level of dental treatment emergencies in infants aged 01 to 04 years of the IPRESS I-4 Moronacocha comparing it with the IPRESS I-2 Maynas, January-March 2023. Quantitative, descriptive, correlational study, prospective and transversal; sample of 362 infants from 01 to 04 years old. Results: 53.6% of the infants were female; the prevalence of dental caries in the IPRESS I- 4 Moronacocha 77.3% and that of Maynas 84%. The dental caries index at the IPRESS Moronacocha and Maynas was moderate: 35.3%-40.9%. The level of dental treatment emergencies showed medium urgency in the IPRESS Moronacocha 77.3% and in Maynas 84%. The chi square test (X2) applied to contingency tables between the variables prevalence of dental caries and level of urgency of dental treatments (X2=181,000; df=1; p=0.000; p<0.05); The relationship between the dental caries index and the level of dental treatment emergencies of the IPRESS of Moronacocha, and that of Maynas show that 77.3% and 39.2% presented a medium urgency for treatment, with 35. 3% and 40.9% of moderate Ceod. The chi square test (X2) applied to contingency tables between the Ceod index variables and level of urgency of dental treatments (X2=181,000; gl=5; p=0.000; p<0.05). We conclude that in the IPRESS I-4 Moronacocha, comparing it with the IPRESS I-2 Maynas, there is a statistically significant relationship between the prevalence of dental caries and the level of dental treatment emergencies and also between the Ceod index and the level of treatment emergencies dental.
