Nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal de los docentes e higiene oral de las alumnas de educación primaria. I.I.E.E. sagrado corazòn de Iquitos 2024

Abstract

La investigación asumió como objetivo, determinar el nivel de conocimiento en salud bucal de los docentes e higiene oral de las alumnas de primaria, II.EE. "Sagrado corazón” de Iquitos 2024; se asumió una metodología cuantitativa, diseño descriptivo, observacional, prospectivo-correlacional y transversal; con la población de 44 docentes y 1,303 alumnos y una muestra de 44 profesores y 297 alumnas de 6 a 11 años en educación primaria. Los resultados fueron que, hubo predominio de las alumnas 8 a 9 años (34,3%) y la mayoría de alumnas fueron del 1er, 3ro, 4to y 5to grado (17,2%). El 45,4% de las estudiantes presentó una higiene oral aceptable, el 24,6% higiene excelente; el Índice de higiene oral según edad, es aceptable en el 54,6% de escolares de primaria. El 58.8% de alumnas de primer grado tiene un nivel de conocimiento aceptable, seguidas del 6to grado el 36,2% conocimiento excelente. El 59,1% de docentes presentó un conocimiento bueno. En la Prueba Estadística de Correlación de Pearson, No se encontró significancia estadística; se acepta la hipótesis nula. Concluyendo que, No hay una relación significativa, entre el nivel de conocimiento de los docentes de educación primaria y el Índice de Higiene oral de las alumnas. Iquitos, 2024. En consecuencia, la higiene bucal de las alumnas no depende de los docentes, ellos instruyen y los padres o familiares educan.

The objective of this investigation, determine the level of knowledge in oral health of teachers and oral hygiene of primary school students, II.EE. "Sacred Heart" of Iquitos 2024; a quantitative methodology, descriptive, observational, prospective-correlational and transversal design was assumed; with the population of 44 teachers and 1,303 students and a sample of 44 teachers and 297 students from 6 to 11 years old in education primary school. The results were that there was a predominance of students aged 8 to 9 years (34.3%) and the majority of students were from the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades (17.2%). 45.4% of the students had acceptable oral hygiene, 24.6% had excellent hygiene; The oral hygiene index according to age is acceptable in 54.6% of primary schoolchildren. 58.8% of first grade students have an acceptable level of knowledge, followed by 36.2% of 6th grade students with excellent knowledge. 59.1% of teachers presented good knowledge. NO statistical significance was found; which tells us that the null hypothesis is accepted. There is no significant relationship between the level of knowledge of the primary school teachers and the Oral Hygiene Index of the students. The oral hygiene of the students does not depend on the teachers, because they instruct and the parents or family members educate. But it is very important to have educational support from teachers to improve knowledge, habits and behaviors in oral health, specifically in oral hygiene.
