Abstract
El presente estudio asume como objetivo: Evaluar las maloclusiones dentales y el impacto psicosocial en adolescentes de 12 a 16 años. Institución Educativa-Nivel Secundario MORB. Iquitos 2023. Es una investigación con enfoque de tipo cuantitativo; diseño básico descriptivo, observacional, correlacional, prospectivo y de cohorte transversal, con una población de 1 404 y muestra: 302 adolescentes. Se halló que el 85,8% presento maloclusión leve, y mínimamente maloclusión muy grave (0,3%). Se evidencio que la mayoría son del segundo grado (21.5%); 50% del sexo masculino, en los cuales predomino, la maloclusión leve (88,7%), y en el femenino (82,8%). A la edad de 13 años mayoría tuvo maloclusión leve (97%); Los de 15 años maloclusión moderada (18,3%) y grave (15%). En el Impacto psicosocial, la mayoría no tuvieron IPSS (57%), el 43% presentó bajo IPSS. El sexo, el masculino no presentó impacto psicosocial (58,6%), el 41.7% tenía IPSS un bajo (41,7%); el femenino con 44,4% no presentó impacto psicosocial y 55,6% tuvo un IPSS bajo. En el análisis bivariado, se muestra que, en adolescentes con bajo impacto psicosocial, el 93,1% presentó maloclusión leve, el 1,5% maloclusión moderada, el 5,4% maloclusión grave. Se concluye que Se concluye que existe relación estadísticamente significativa entre las Maloclusiones dentales y el Impacto Psicosocial en los adolescentes de 12 a 16 Años.
