Factores asociados a la adherencia al tratamiento farmacológico oral de los pacientes diabéticos del hospital de EsSalud Iquitos - 2020

Abstract
Introducción: La diabetes mellitus es un problema de salud por su carga de enfermedad y su discapacidad que produce a través de las manifestaciones tardías, una buena adherencia al tratamiento permite un control y reducción de las manifestaciones tardías que tiene un impacto sobre la morbimortalidad y de los costos en salud.
Objetivo: Determinar los factores asociados a la adherencia al tratamiento farmacológico oral de los pacientes diabéticos del hospital de EsSALUD, Iquitos – 2020
Material y métodos: El estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, de diseño observacional, transversal, prospectivo, correlacional, entrevistando a 168 de pacientes diabéticos tipo 2 que se atienden en un mes en el Hospital de EsSALUD. Aplicando el test de adherencia de Morisky-Green.
Resultados: Se encuestaron a 168 pacientes diabéticos, con predominio entre los 40 a 59 años de edad, sexo femenino (53.0%), instrucción secundaria (59.5%); con tiempo de enfermedad de 5 a 9 años (38.1%), el 45.2% con manifestación tardía, predominando la neuropatía diabética; el 34.5% a veces asiste al programa. El 28.6% de los pacientes diabéticos son adherente al tratamiento farmacológico oral, la adherencia fue influenciado por una mayor edad del paciente (p=0.042), con un mejor nivel de instrucción (p=0.009); a un mayor tiempo de enfermedad (p=0.035), la presencia de manifestaciones tardías (p=0.031); a la asistencia mensual o trimestral al programa (p=0.034)
Conclusión: Los pacientes diabéticos del Hospital III Iquitos de EsSALUD no tiene una buena adherencia al tratamiento farmacológico oral, debiendo de establecer una adecuada promoción de salud por parte del programa de su CAP.

Applying the Morisky-Green adhesion test.
