Abstract
Introducción: Las ITS son un problema de salud a predominio de población adolescentes, para reducir se requiere buen nivel de conocimiento y una actitud preventiva positiva.
Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud preventiva hacia las ITS de los adolescentes de tres AAHH.
Metodología: Estudio de tipo cuantitativo, de diseño observacional, corte transversal, prospectivo, correlacional, entrevistando a 180 adolescentes entre 15 a 18 años de tres AAHH, que aceptaron a participar en el estudio, se le aplico dos cuestionarios validados, una de conocimiento y otro de tipo Likert para evaluar la actitud preventiva, las relaciones fueron a través de la prueba del chi cuadrado.
Resultados: El 43.3% presentaron mal nivel de conocimiento, el 30.0% regular y el 26.7% buen nivel; el cual se asoció a edad de 17 a 18 años, sexo femenino, recepción de información.
El 45.6% presentan una actitud preventiva positiva hacia las ITS, asociándose a los adolescentes de 17 a 18 años, sexo femenino, recepción de información
