Abstract
This research work had as objective the technical and economic comparison of the mechanical and chemical stabilization of the base in the pavement of the MO102 route, section of Km 40 + 66 to 47 + 185, province of Mariscal Nieto in the department of Moquegua . For mechanical stabilization, granular soil from the Km 41 + 160 quarry was used, and for chemical stabilization, type I portland cement and natural soil from the 64 + 280 quarry were used. base coat are technically feasible; being the total cost for the seven kilometers with mechanical stabilization of S / 891 552.04 and with chemical stabilization of S / 794 736.77; It was concluded, in light of the results, that the stabilization with cement soil of the base in said section is economically cheaper.
