Intervención educativa de enfermería sobre conocimientos y prácticas preventivas del dengue en AA. HH. tierra prometida – Belén, 2024

Abstract

La enfermedad del dengue actualmente es una prioridad en salud pública, siendo importante investigar su prevención y control. La presente investigación tuvo como Objetivo: Determinar el efecto de intervención educativa de enfermería sobre conocimientos y prácticas preventivas del dengue en AA.HH. Tierra prometida, Belén, 2024. Material y métodos: Estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, de tipo aplicativo con diseño pre-experimental. Su muestra fue 196 pobladores de 18 a 65 años, Se empleó el muestreo no probabilístico aleatorio simple; la técnica utilizada fue la encuesta y la observación, el instrumento fue el cuestionario y la lista de verificación, En la intervención educativa de enfermería se aplicó primero el pretest, seguido del programa de intervención educativa sobre medidas de prevención del dengue, posterior a ello se aplicó el post-test. Para el análisis de datos se utilizó el programa SPSS versión 26. Resultados: El promedio de edad de los pobladores fue 37,95±12,7 años, y el grado de instrucción que predominó fue secundaria con 46,9%. Los conocimientos sobre el dengue antes de recibir la intervención educativa de enfermería, fue bajo con 43,9% y después de la aplicación de la intervención educativa de enfermería alcanzó un nivel de conocimiento alto con 92,3% con una diferencia de medias observadas de -1,112 como significativa a través del valor de t de Student – 20,057 con un valor p = 0.000 (p <0.05). En cuanto a las prácticas preventivas antes de recibir la intervención educativa de enfermería, el 71,9% obtuvieron prácticas inadecuadas y después de aplicar la intervención educativa de enfermería se logró prácticas adecuadas con 96,4% confirmando la diferencia de medias de -0,684, como significativa a través del valor de t de Student –17,799 con un valor p = 0.000 (p <0.05). Conclusión: La intervención educativa de enfermería tiene efecto significativo en el incremento del conocimiento y prácticas preventivas del dengue en el AA.HH. Tierra prometida, 2024. Dengue disease is currently a priority in public health, and it is important to investigate its prevention and control. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of educational nursing intervention on knowledge and preventive practices of dengue in AA.HH. Tierra prometida, Belén, 2024. Material and methods: Study with a quantitative approach, of an application type with a pre-experimental design. Its sample was 196 residents aged 18 to 65 years. Simple random non-probabilistic sampling was used; the technique used was the survey and observation, the instrument was the questionnaire and the checklist. In the educational nursing intervention, the pre-test was applied first, followed by the educational intervention program on dengue prevention measures, after which the post-test was applied. For data analysis, SPSS version 26 was used. Results: The average age of the residents was 37.95±12.7 years, and the predominant level of education was secondary with 46.9%. Knowledge about dengue before receiving the nursing educational intervention was low with 43.9% and after the application of the nursing educational intervention it reached a high level of knowledge with 92.3% with an observed mean difference of -1.112 as significant through the Student t value - 20.057 with a p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). Regarding preventive practices before receiving the nursing educational intervention, 71.9% had inadequate practices and after applying the nursing educational intervention, adequate practices were achieved with 96.4% confirming the difference in means of -0.684, as significant through the Student t value of -17.799 with a p value = 0.000 (p <0.05).
