Nivel de conocimiento y actitud preventiva de los pacientes diabéticos atendidos en el hospital de EsSalud de Iquitos 2020

Abstract
Introducción: La DM es una enfermedad metabólica crónica prevalente con presencia de manifestaciones tardías que impactan sobre los años de vida saludable, siendo el principal pilar de su control el conocimiento adecuado y la actitud preventiva adecuada
Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y actitud preventiva de los pacientes diabéticos atendidos en el Hospital de EsSALUD de Iquitos, 2020
Material y métodos: El estudio es de tipo cuantitativo, de diseño es descriptivo, transversal, prospectivo y correlacional; entrevistando a 140 pacientes diabéticos voluntarios, aplicando un instrumento para evaluar el conocimiento y actitud preventiva
Resultados: El estudio encuentra que el 35% presenta diabetes no controlada, el 55.7% presentaron manifestaciones tardías, como neuropatías (31.4%) y síndrome metabólico (26.4%), el 55.7% tienen un nivel adecuado sobre los conceptos, clínica, diagnostico, complicaciones y tratamiento sobre la diabetes mellitus, el 40.7% tienen una actitud preventiva adecuada; el conocimiento adecuado se asocia significativamente con una actitud preventiva adecuada (p=0.031).
Conclusión: Los pacientes diabéticos del Hospital III Iquitos de EsSALUD tienen una frecuencia baja de nivel adecuado de conocimiento y actitud preventiva adecuada sobre su enfermedad
Introduction: DM is a prevalent chronic metabolic disease with the presence of late manifestations that impact on healthy life years, with adequate knowledge and preventive attitude being the main pillar of its control Objective: To determine the level of knowledge and preventive attitude of diabetic patients treated at the Hospital de EsSALUD of Iquitos, 2020 Matherial and methods: The study is quantitative, design is descriptive, transversal, prospective and correlative; interviewing 140 volunteer diabetic patients, applying an instrument to evaluate knowledge and preventive attitude Results: The study finds that 35% have uncontrolled diabetes, 55.7% had late manifestations, such as neuropathies (31.4%) and metabolic syndrome (26.4%), 55.7% have an adequate level of concepts, clinical, diagnostic, complications and treatment on diabetes mellitus, 40.7% have an adequate preventive attitude; adequate knowledge is significantly associated with an adequate preventive attitude (p-0.031). Conclusion: Diabetic patients at EsSALUD Hospital III Iquitos have a low frequency of adequate level of knowledge and adequate preventive attitude about their disease
