Abstract

Other findings were that 17.6% changed jobs due to discomfort in the forearm and hand; 19.6% with neck discomfort prevented regular work for less than a day. The intensity of the discomfort on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the most painful, was rated as 3. The workers attribute the discomfort to stress, poor postures and repetitive movements. A real occupational health policy is recommended to prevent skeletal muscle discomfort in health workers.
