Abstract
El dolor lumbar es uno de los más comunes desórdenes y un importante problema para
la Salud Pública debido al alto impacto en la funcionalidad de las personas. El tipo de
estudio realizado es descriptivo transversal, el objetivo fue determinar la frecuencia de la
frecuencia de incapacidad por dolor lumbar en mujeres que trabajan en comedores populares de Villa María del Triunfo. La población objeto de estudio fueron 108 mujeres.
El instrumento utilizado fue el cuestionario de incapacidad de Owestry que fue
completado por las mujeres que laboraron en los comedores populares, determinándose
el grado de incapacidad por dolor lumbar teniendo como variables edad, índice de masa
corporal, años de servicio, horas de trabajo y número de hijos.
Resultados. el 48,1% del total de la muestra presentan Limitación Mínima, mientras que
solo el 1,9% presentan Incapacidad Leve; se presentó una edad promedio de 50,69 años,
con una desviación estándar o típica de 11,193 casos y un rango de edad que iba desde los
25 a 65 años. Con respecto al IMC, el 52,8% tuvo Sobrepeso presentando Limitación
Mínima; el 56,5% de la población laboraron 6 horas al día; el 34,3% del total de las
mujeres labora entre 1 y 5 años; en cuanto al número de hijos, el 44.4% del total tienen
más de 4 hijos y presentó mayor frecuencia de Limitación Moderada con un 45,8%. Estos
resultados fueron variados con respecto a otros estudios sobre incapacidad por dolor lumbar.
Low back pain is one of the most common disorders and an important public health problem due to the high impact on the functionality of the people. The type of study performed is cross descriptive, the objective was to determine the frequency of back pain disability in women working in soup kitchens of Villa Maria del Triunfo. The study population were 108 vomen. The instrument used vas the questionnaire Oswestty disability wvhich was completed by women who worked in soup kitchens, determining the degree of disability for back pain having as variables age, body mass index, years ofservice, hours of work and number of children. Results: 48.1% of the total sample have Limitation Low, while only 1.9% have mild disabilities; an average age of 50.69 years, with a standard or standard deviation of 11.193 years and age range was from 25 to 65 years vas presented.
