Abstract
El trabajo de investigación “Uso del bambú y su rentabilidad como material de construcción en la ciudad de Iquitos, Loreto, 2022”, de tipo descriptivo, está enfocado en resaltar las bondades del bambú como material apto para su uso en la construcción, así como su bajo costo y propiedades estructurales que lo
hacen un material alternativo en esta industria, sin dejar de mencionar que no
solo se trata de una propuesta de moda, si no, más bien está enfocado a cubrir las demandas de viviendas en aquellas zonas de la ciudad donde el material de construcción, supera el presupuesto que una familia tiene para construir y donde se evidencie pobreza para cubrir estos gatos.
En este sentido, presentamos el panorama de la ciudad metropolitana de
Iquitos, que al 2017(INEI), presenta una demanda potencial de 8,808
viviendas y una demanda efectiva de 1,328 viviendas, con un valor promedio de 5.2 habitantes por hogar, por lo que este estudio demuestra que, si bien, existe una demanda de viviendas en la ciudad, el bambú no es un material accesible en la ciudad, es decir, no existe un uso masivo del bambú como elemento estructural de viviendas, por lo que predominan los de material noble con un 92%,
