Nivel de conocimiento y actitud preventiva sobre las infecciones respiratorias agudas de las madres de dos AA-HH de la ciudad de Iquitos 2022

Abstract
Introducción: Las infecciones respiratorias agudas son la principal
carega de enfermedad en la población pediátrica a nivel nacional; siendo
un principal pilar de promoción y prevención el nivel de conocimiento y la
actitud preventiva que poseen las madres, impactando en la prevalencia y
severidad de las IRAs.
Objetivó: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y actitud preventiva sobre
las infecciones respiratorias agudas de las madres de dos AAHH de la
ciudad de Iquitos
Metodología: Se realizo un estudio cuantitativo, de diseño observacional,
transversal, prospectivo correlacional, encuestando a 200 madres con
niños menores de 5 años de dos AAHH de la ciudad de Iquitos; aplicando
dos instrumento para evaluar el nivel de conocimiento y la actitud
preventiva, cada uno de 20 preguntas según escala de Likert, siendo
procesados con el software SPSS versión 25.0.
Resultados: El 58.5% de las madres presentaron un nivel alto de
conocimiento sobre las IRAs y el 30.1% nivel medio, se relaciona
significativamente con la edad materna (p=0.000), nivel de instrucción
(p=0.000) y número de hijos (p=0.008); el 72.0% presentaron una actitud
preventiva adecuada y el 28% tuvieron una actitud preventiva
inadecuada; se relacionó con la edad de la madre (p=0.016), nivel de
instrucción (p=0.002) y número de hijos (p=0.04); el nivel de conocimiento
influye significativamente (p=0.000) sobre la actitud preventiva.
Conclusión: Las madres de os AAHH presentan un nivel alto de
conocimiento y de actitud preventiva adecuada sobre las IRAs, ambas se
relacionan significativamente y están influenciadas por la dad, nivel de
instrucción y número de hijos.
