Abstract
In the district of Belen in the province of Maynas, Peru, the program of segregation at the source is being developed, where certain limitations are observed, technical, financial that discourage the population to participate actively, so the present study describes the perception of the population of the district of Belen having as focus dimensions that are analyzed to evaluate, the level of satisfaction of satisfaction of the participants, on the quality of the service provided by the program of segregation at the source. The type of research is descriptive, correlational, cross-sectional. The population under study was considered to be the participants of the source segregation program, a sample of 359 participants was taken. The data collection was done through two Likert scale type instruments, with 22 questions for the quality of service and 12 questions for the level of satisfaction. The results show a significant relationship between the study variables, with a Sperman's coefficient of 0.7214, which indicates that there is a linear, positive and moderate correlation between the level of service quality and the level of satisfaction of program participants. This shows that the level of satisfaction of the participants is directly affected by the quality of the service provided, thus proving the general hypothesis.
