Abstract
The city of Iquitos is the main center of the departmental urban system, being its function as a dynamic center of different economic, administrative, tourism and connectivity with different cities and towns in the region, having as main axis of development of the city through the Iquitos - Nauta road projected with future roads Bellavista - Mazan and the Nor - Oriental, Iquitos - Nauta - Saramiriza - North Coast. It is a city with multimodal accessibility, since it has 3 means of access, by river, air and land. Currently, Iquitos is a city that lacks a planned road system in accordance with the accelerated growth of its population, a metropolis with a north-south urban expansion trend, with evident vehicular chaos and an absence of municipal administration in road control, which allows for public transportation management that does not satisfactorily comply with the optimization of population mobility flows through integration between the urban area, the surrounding rural area and population flows within it. Therefore, this research will focus on analyzing the equipment that organizes the interprovincial and urban land transportation system, oriented to the study and design of an interprovincial and urban land terminal for the city of Iquitos, which will have an adequate infrastructure for users, projected with an inclusive and sustainable architecture, which will benefit and guarantee a better development of the city's road system.
