Abstract
inadecuado.
The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship that exists between the level of knowledge and practice of preventive measures on HIV/AIDS in adolescents at the Petronila Perea De Fernando school, 2023. The study design was quantitative, non-experimental, descriptive, correlational and prospective. . The sample consisted of 153 adolescents between the ages of 12 and 17 from the Petronila Perea De Fernando school, 2023. The technique used was an interview. A questionnaire was used after granting informed consent by the guardian and/or adolescent, to evaluate the knowledge and practice of preventive measures on HIV/AIDS in adolescents. An instrument validity of 0.8193 was obtained, indicating good validity and agreement, and an instrument reliability of 0.827, according to Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. The results showed that 92 (92.3%) of adolescents have adequate knowledge, of which 56 (55.6%) are female and 36 (35.7%) are male; Likewise, 61 (60.7%) of adolescents have inadequate knowledge about HIV/AIDS, with 29 (28.9%) being female and 32 (31.8%) male respectively, on the other hand, 57 (56.5%) practice preventive measures and have knowledge. adequate information about HIV/AIDS, and only 28 (27.9%) practice preventive measures and have inadequate knowledge; Likewise, it is also observed that 45 (44.8%) do not practice preventive measures and have adequate knowledge about HIV/AIDS, and only 23 (22.9%) do not practice preventive measures and have inadequate knowledge. It was concluded that there is no statistically significant relationship (p>0.05) between knowledge and practices of preventive measures in HIV/AIDS, with bilateral significance value p = 0.639.
