Abstract
La investigación tuvo como objetivo identificar las potencialidades económicas que tiene el distrito de Mazan en la provincia de Maynas de la región Loreto, a la vez; señalar la tasa de crecimiento del distrito en los últimos años, así como indicar las principales actividades económicas que existe.
Su metodología fue descriptiva, no experimental, longitudinal; debido a que se recabó información disponible de los últimos años. Su población de estudio fueron las diversas fuentes de información e instituciones consultadas, asimismo, la muestra estuvo conformada por datos específicos localizados.
Concluyen que, el distrito de Mazan cuenta con una población de 18,604 habitantes, que representa al 1.5% del total poblacional de Loreto. De ese total existen 5,526 niños y jóvenes matriculados en los diferentes sistemas educativos del distrito, de los cuales 442 están próximos a ir hacia la educación superior, teniendo en consideración que el distrito no tiene ese sistema educativo. Las principales actividades económicas son la pesca, agricultura, comercio y extracción forestal, además; existe un proyecto en vía de ejecución, la carretera que conectará Bellavista de Nanay (Iquitos), Mazan, Salvador y El Estrecho (frontera con Colombia), haciendo un total de 188 kms.
The objective of the research was to identify the economic potential of the Mazan district in the Maynas province of the Loreto region, at the same time; point out the growth rate of the district in recent years, as well as indicate the main economic activities that exist. Its methodology was descriptive, not experimental, longitudinal; because information available from recent years was collected. Its study population were the various sources of information that are located in the NationalInstitute of Statistics and Informatics -INEI- related to the district of Mazan, likewise, the sample was made up of specific data located in the INEI and various sources consulted. They conclude that the district of Mazan has a population of 18,604 inhabitants, which represents 1.5% of the total population of Loreto. Of this total, there are 5,526 children and young people enrolled in the different educational systems of the district, of which 442 are close to going to higher education, taking into account that the district does not have that educational system. The main economic activities are fishing, agriculture, trade and forest extraction, in addition; there is a project underway, the road that will connect Bellavista de Nanay (Iquitos), Mazan, Salvador and El Estrecho (border with Colombia), making a total of 188 km.
