Abstract
Throughout history, agriculture in the Styron community has learned to cope with climate disruptions and has often adapted crops and farming practices to new conditions, but the intensity and speed of climate change present new and unprecedented challenges. An effective approach to adaptation is to promote diverse and flexible livelihoods in sectors that reduce people's dependence on climate-sensitive resources. The present research work aimed to assess the situational status of associated cultivation of cassava (Manihot esculenta Crantz) and plantain (Musa paradisiaca Linneo) in the community of Estirón district of Pebas, Loreto- Peru, 2005 - 2017. The type of research corresponds to a retrospective non-experimental correlational research, i.e. that which corresponds to the registration, analysis and interpretation of reality in which data were obtained on the associated cultivation of Manihot esculenta Crantz, cassava and Musa paradisiaca Linneo, plantain and its adaptation to climate alterations in the community of Estirón. The techniques for data collection were through documentary review and the application of a survey to farmers, reaching the conclusion that there is a relationship between the associated cultivation of cassava (Manihot esculenta Cranz) and plantain (Musa paradisiaca Linneo) and climate alterations, and that these crops have adapted and increased their production in the community of Estirón, district of Pebas in the years 2005 to 2017.
