Concepto de ofimática

Abstract

Con la masificación del uso de las computadoras, el anglicismo ha sido uno de los fenómenos que esta herramienta tecnológica trajo consigo, involuntariamente obligándonos a incluir en nuestro lenguaje cotidiano palabras que la escuchamos, tratamos de pronunciarlo y muchas veces no sabemos el verdadero significado de lo que estamos hablando o reproduciendo, como es el caso de software, hardware, blueray, bluetooh, wireless, case, desktop, etc., Sin embargo hay terminologías que podrían parecer anglosajonas, pero solo son acrónimos de un trabajo o acción que se realiza, como es el caso de la ofimática. Cabe señalar que la palabra ofimática muchas veces es confundida por otras palabras como informática, computación, sistemas u otros, y es ahí donde es necesario hacer la precisión de lo que estamos hablando y a que nos referimos al mencionar cada término, aunque se por analogía. Por ejemplo, si decimos computadora estaríamos hablando de computación; si decimos informática, seria hablar de información automática; si decimos ofimática seria hablar de oficina automática y así relativamente. El presente trabajo se centra resaltar lo que realmente significa la palabra ofimática y discriminarlo de la informática, ya que cada término tiene sus características y funciones propias, pero de alguna manera tienen una relación directa. Por ejemplo la ofimática necesita de la informática para la organización de la información, porque la informática aplica los algoritmos de organización numérica o alfanumérica ya sea ascendente o descendente, y por el otro lado la informática requiere de la ofimática para compartir la información ya que la ofimática hace uso de los canales de comunicación como correo electrónico, gestor de base de datos u otros para el envío, recepción o intercambio de la información.

For example, ofimatica requires information technology to organize information, because information technology applies numerical or alphanumeric organization algorithms, whether ascending or descending, and on the other hand, information technology requires ofimatica on to share information since ofimatica makes use of communication channels such as email, database manager or others to send, receive or exchange information.
