Abstract

La fiebre del caucho en el siglo XIX y principios del XX dejó una huella indeleble en la arquitectura y el paisaje urbano de Iquitos y otras regiones Amazónicas. Este Boom económico, impulsado por la demanda mundial de caucho, generó una explosión en la construcción de edificaciones que aún hoy en día constituyen un valioso patrimonio inmueble. Esta tesis se adentra en el estudio de los cortometrajes documentales como herramienta para explorar y preservar la riqueza histórica y cultural de estas estructuras, examinando su importancia, su contexto histórico y su impacto en la identidad cultural de las comunidades que las habitan.

The rubber boom of the 19th and early 20th centuries left an indelible mark on the architecture and urban landscape of Iquitos and other Amazonian regions. This economic boom, driven by the world demand for rubber, generated an explosion in the construction of buildings that even today constitute a valuable real estate heritage. This thesis delves into the study of short films as a tool to explore and preserve the historical and cultural richness of these structures, examining their importance, their historical context and their impact on the cultural identity of the communities that inhabit them.
