Abstract
El estudio tuvo como finalidad identificar los conocimientos y
actitudes sobre donación de sangre en los en los estudiantes de
Tecnología Médica de la Universidad Científica del Perú – Año
2019.
La investigación fue de tipo descriptiva, se obtuvo una muestra
constituida por 54 estudiantes ingresantes de Tecnología Médica,
lo cual comprendió a dos escuelas: Laboratorio clínico y Terapia
física.
Se evaluó a los estudiantes respecto a los conocimiento generales
que poseen en cuanto a la donación de sangre y de un total de 54
(100%) estudiantes, el 18% (10) tuvieron un conocimiento
deficiente, el 15% (8) tuvieron un conocimiento regular, el 52% (28)
tuvieron un conocimiento bueno y el 15% (8) tuvieron un
conocimiento muy bueno , en cuanto a las actitudes los estudiantes
de un total de 54 (100%) estudiantes, el 37% (20) tuvieron una
actitud poco aceptable, el 63% (34) tuvieron una actitud nada
aceptable.
Entre los factores que impiden donar sangre están la baja
información que reciben acerca de este tema.
En conclusión, si bien casi la tercera parte de los estudiantes ha
demostrado tener conocimientos básicos sobre donación de
sangre, hay ideas erróneas en la población y que aún existen
muchos tabúes y mitos que probablemente el estudiante no desea
realizar el acto voluntario de donación de sangre por esos motivos.
The purpose of the study was to identify the knowledge and attitudes about blood donation in the Medical Technology students of the Scientific University of Peru - Year 2019. The research was descriptive, a sample consisting of 54 incoming students of Medical Technology was obtained, which included two schools: Clinical Laboratory and Physical Therapy. The students were evaluated regarding the general knowledge they possess regarding blood donation and out of a total of 54 (100%) students, 18% (10) had poor knowledge, 15% (8) had a regular knowledge, 52% (28) had good knowledge and 15% (8) had very good knowledge, in terms of attitudes the students of a total of 54 (100%) students, 37% (20) they had an unacceptable attitude, 63% (34) had an unacceptable attitude. Among the factors that prevent donating blood are the low information they receive on this subject. In conclusion, although almost a third of the students have shown to have basic knowledge about blood donation, there are misconceptions in the population and that there are still many taboos and myths that the student probably does not want to perform the voluntary act of donating blood. for those reasons.
