Abstract
El objetivo de investigación fue evaluar el nivel de deterioro cognitivo en adultos mayores asistentes al centro de salud IPRES III - distrito Fernando Lores, Loreto 2019; El Tipo de investigación desarrollada es de estudios poblacionales, descriptiva, no experimental de corte transversal cuantitativo, para esta investigación se aplicó la prueba Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) se tuvo en cuenta la edad, sexo, grado de instrucción y morbilidad sentida. Se concluye que la edad promedio de los adultos mayores es de 78 años, siendo el grupo de mayor numero de adultos mayores entre 67 a 73 años 45.89%. En cuanto al sexo, el 65.89% de la muestra corresponde al sexo femenino. El 80% de la muestra tiene estudios primarios, con respecto a la morbilidad el 81.18% (69) sufre de alguna enfermedad. Con relación al deterioro cognitivo en los adultos mayores de ambos sexos un 74.12% se encuentra en el nivel de deterioro, se observa también que un 7.06% presentan demencia, con relación al sexo es el grupo femenino con mayor porcentaje de casos de deterioro cognitivo con un 75% y el sexo masculino con mayor porcentaje de casos con demencia con un 10.34%.El grupo de edad que presenta mayor deterioro cognitivo en el nivel de deterioro pertenece al grupo de 74 a 80 años 92.30%, también podemos evidenciar que el 100% de adultos mayores que presentan demencia pertenecen al grupo de 90 a 96 años.
The research objective was to evaluate the level of cognitive decline in older adults assistant to the IPRES III health center - Fernando Lores district, Loreto 2019; The type of research developed is of population studies, descriptive, nonexperimental quantitative cross-section, for this research was applied the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE) test was taken into account age, sex, degree of instruction and felt morbidity. It is concluded that the average age of older adults is 78 years, being the largest group of older adults between 67 and 73 years 45.89%.
