Abstract
Our work was descriptive, since all the facts were analyzed as they were presented in reality in the two communities. The sample represented by children between the ages of 8 and 12 from the communities surrounding the Concession for the Conservation of the Upper Account of the Itaya River, a conservation area administered by the Scientific University of Peru. The objective was to determine how environmental education influences the care of the environment in children from the communities of Melitón Carbajal and Luz del Oriente, district of San Juan Bautista. The technique used was the application of a questionnaire, likewise dynamic techniques were used such as the use of existing resources in the area, such as the reuse of worthless objects that were reused such as cans, plastics, bottles. We can conclude that the level of knowledge and attitudes about caring for the environment in children is good, that is, they always have 90.91% favorable attitudes; and only 9.09% remain with doubts or some difficulties in recognizing the care of their environment. Therefore, it is important to continue with actions to strengthen knowledge and raise awareness about the importance of caring for natural resources. Likewise, develop similar work with participatory and motivational techniques with children from other communities surrounding the Conservation Concession of the Upper Account of the Itaya River, which is being administered by the Scientific University of Peru.
