Abstract
In this descriptive research, the aim is to relate the physical and mechanical properties of Amazonian soils for building foundation purposes with the electrical resistivity values obtained in the vicinity of the implantation site. The results obtained by applying the Wenner method and conventional Soil Mechanics tests, referring to stratigraphy and physical characteristics, are very similar; however, it has been demonstrated that the non-conventional electrical resistivity method is much more efficient.
