Abstract
This research project entitled "FLEXIBLE PAVEMENT DESIGN FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF THE BUENOS AIRES - FLOR DE MAYO NEIGHBORHOOD ROAD, MOYOBAMBA DISTRICT, SAN MARTIN DEPARTMENT", aims to design the flexible pavement structure for the Buenos Aires - Flor de Mayo, using the AASHTO method through the collection of information, analysis and application of the necessary criteria for the design. So that it supports the loads to which it will be subjected daily and those projected during its design period under the action of traffic loads. For this, the present study studies the AASHTO 1993 methodology for the design of flexible pavements and analyzes the mechanical properties of asphalt. At the same time, it studies the necessary parameters for the design of flexible pavements, such as the support values of the subgrade (CBR) and traffic (W18), the serviceability index, reliability, to provide a smooth and satisfactory surface, to guarantee the efficient performance of the local road. Of the application instruments, they were rated from effective to highly effective. In addition, it will allow its practical effects and making available a technical study that makes it possible to provide adequate road infrastructure for the benefit of the population as a whole. The implementation of the Flexible Pavement Design at the final study level will allow the improvement of the neighborhood road, both vehicular and pedestrian, of the Buenos Aires - Flor de Mayo road, in the Moyobamba district.
