Abstract
El presente estudio estuvo orientado a resolver el siguiente problema
de investigación: ¿Cuál es la seroprevalencia del Virus de la
Inmunodeficiencia Humana en postulantes a donantes del Centro de
Hemoterapia y Banco de Sangre Tipo II del Hospital III Iquitos Essalud de
Enero a Julio del 2022?
El objetivo de Investigación fue: Determinar la Seroprevalencia del
Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Humana en postulantes a donantes del
Centro de Hemoterapia y Banco de Sangre Tipo II del Hospital III Iquitos
Essalud de Enero a Julio del 2022.
Material y métodos: La presente investigación es de tipo
descriptivo, con diseño no experimental, retrospectivo. Se trabajó con una
muestra de 1274 postulantes que asistieron para donantes de sangre. Se
utilizó el paquete estadístico de SPSS V.25 para el análisis de información.
Resultados: La seroprevalencia del Anti HIV I - II en postulantes a
donantes de sangre que acuden al Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud de Enero a
Julio del 2022 fue de 1.02 %; según el sexo el masculino 9 (69.23%) y las
de femeninos 4 (30.77%); según la edad el rango más frecuente fue de 26
a 35 años con 5 (38.46%), según procedencia fue urbana con 7 (53.85%).
Conclusiones: El tamizaje de VIH en donantes de sangre mediante
la técnica de quimioluminiscencia es una estrategia eficaz y necesaria para
garantizar la seguridad de las transfusiones y prevenir la transmisión del
VIH por vía sanguínea.
The present study was oriented to solve the following research problem: What is the seroprevalence of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus in applicants for donors of the Hemotherapy Center and Type II Blood Bank of Hospital III Iquitos Essalud from January to July 2022? The objective of the Research was: To determine the Seroprevalence of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus in applicants for donors of the Hemotherapy Center and Type II Blood Bank of Hospital III Iquitos Essalud from January to July 2022. Material and methods: This research is descriptive, with a nonexperimental, retrospective design. We worked with a sample of 1274 applicants who attended for blood donors. The statistical package of SPSS V.25 was used for the analysis of information. Results: The seroprevalence of Anti HIV I - II in applicants for blood donors who attend Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud from January to July 2022 was 1.02%; according to sex, 9 males (69.23%) and 4 females (30.77%); According to age, the most frequent range was from 26 to 35 years with 5 (38.46%), according to origin it was urban with 7 (53.85%). Conclusions: HIV screening in blood donors using the chemiluminescence technique is an effective and necessary strategy to guarantee the safety of transfusions and prevent HIV transmission through blood.
