Depresión en adolescentes usuarios de un establecimiento de salud, distrito de Belén, 2022

Abstract

El presente trabajo de investigación tuvo por objetivo determinar el nivel de depresión en adolescentes usuarios de un establecimiento de salud, Distrito de Belén, 2022. La metodología estuvo enmarcada en un tipo de investigación descriptiva simple, diseño no experimental y transversal, la población estuvo conformada por 30 adolescentes usuarios del Centro de Salud IPRESS I-3 Cardozo, siendo la muestra representativa de 15 adolescentes quienes cumplieron criterios de inclusión y exclusión, la técnica empleada fue la psicométrica y el instrumento fue la Escala de Autovaloración de la Depresión (EAD) de William Zung y Zung. Los datos fueron procesados y analizados mediante el software estadístico Statistical Package for Social Sciences - SPSS v22. Los resultados fueron: un 60,0% obtuvieron niveles de depresión de leve a moderada, lo que nos indicaría que los adolescentes algunas veces se sienten tristes y decaídos, que duermen tarde porque les cuesta conciliar el sueño, que durante el día suelen mantenerse intranquilos como si algo les faltara, pero sin saber las razones de su inquietud, por otro lado, solo un 13,3% obtuvo nivel de depresión de moderada a intensa, indicando que los adolescentes experimentan sentimientos de minusvalía, lo que les generaría ganas de llorar y muchas veces encontrándose irritables sin deseos de realizar sus actividades diarias, y solo un 26,7% de los adolescentes no presenta depresión.The objective of this research work was to determine the level of depression in adolescent users of a health establishment, Belén District, 2022. The methodology was framed in a type of simple descriptive investigation, non-experimental and cross-sectional design, the population was made up of by 30 adolescent users of the IPRESS I-3 Cardozo Health Center, with the representative sample of 15 adolescents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the technique used was psychometric and the instrument was the Depression Self-Assessment Scale (EAD) of William Zung and Zung. The data were processed and analyzed using the statistical software Statistical Package for Social Sciences - SPSS v22. The results were: 60.0% obtained mild to moderate levels of depression, which would indicate that adolescents sometimes feel sad and down, that they sleep late because it is difficult for them to fall asleep, that during the day they tend to remain restless as if something was missing, but without knowing the reasons for their concern, on the other hand, only 13.3% obtained a moderate to intense level of depression, indicating that adolescents experience feelings of worthlessness, which would make them want to cry and often finding themselves irritable with no desire to carry out their daily activities, and only 26.7% of adolescents do not present depression.
