Utilidad del perfil hormonal tiroideo en el hipotiroidismo en pacientes que fueron atendidos en el Hospital Regional de Loreto de enero a junio del 2019.

Abstract

El presente estudio estuvo orientado a resolver el siguiente problema de investigación: ¿Cuáles son los valores del perfil hormonal tiroideo en el hipotiroidismo en pacientes que fueron atendidos en el Hospital Regional de Loreto de Enero a Junio del 2019? El objetivo de Investigación fue: Determinar los valores del perfil hormonal tiroideo en el hipotiroidismo en pacientes que fueron atendidos en el Hospital Regional de Loreto de Enero a Junio del 2019. Material y métodos: La presente investigación es de tipo cuantitativo y retrospectivo, con diseño no experimental, descriptivo. Se trabajó con una muestra de 334 pacientes que acudieron al Hospital Regional de Loreto de Enero a Junio del 2019, para el análisis de la información se utilizó el paquete estadístico de SPSS V.24. Resultados: Después de la cuantificación del perfil hormonal tiroideo a los 334 pacientes que acudieron al Hospital Regional de Loreto, 94 (28.14%) fueron pacientes con hipotiroidismo, 75 (79.79%) fueron femenino y 19 (20.21%) fueron masculino y la edad con mayor frecuencia fue de 41 a 50 años con el 37 (39.36%). Conclusiones: Las pruebas del perfil hormonal tiroideo,TSH, T4 libre y T3 libre ayudan a determinar en forma exacta como esta funcionando la glándula tiroides. El hallazgo de una TSH alta, T4 libre y T3 Libre baja indica hipotiroidismo debido a enfermedad de la glándula tiroides. Las pruebas sanguíneas para medir la TSH, T4, T3 y T4 libre están fácilmente disponibles y son usadas ampliamente.The present study was aimed at solving the following research problem: What are the values of the thyroid hormonal profile in hypothyroidism in patients who were treated at the Regional Hospital of Loreto from January to June 2019? The objective of Research was: To determine the values of the thyroid hormonal profile in hypothyroidism in patients who were treated at the Loreto Regional Hospital from January to June 2019 Material and methods: This research is quantitative and retrospective, with a non-experimental, descriptive design. We worked with a sample of 334 patients who attended the Regional Hospital of Loreto from January to June of 2019, for the analysis of the information the statistical package of SPSS V.24 was used. Results: After the quantification of the thyroid hormonal profile of the 334 patients who attended the Regional Hospital of Loreto, 94 (28.14%) were patients with hypothyroidism, 75 (79.79%) were female and 19 (20.21%) were male and the age most often it was 41 to 50 years with 37 (39.36%). Conclusions: Thyroid hormone profile, TSH, free T4 and free T3 tests help determine exactly how the thyroid gland is functioning. The finding of a high TSH, free T4 and low Free T3 indicates hypothyroidism due to thyroid gland disease. Blood tests to measure free TSH, T4, T3 and T4 are readily available and widely used.
