Abstract
An investigation was carried out whose main objective was to determine the levels of use of the Stress Coping Strategies evaluated by the Stress Coping Inventory Brief Version 28 by Carver, S., presented by the maintenance personnel of the motor vehicle specialty. Air Group 42 located in the city of Iquitos. The sample consisted of 71 technicians and NCOs from the mentioned unit. They were selected by intentional non-parametric sampling. The Stress Coping Inventory Brief Version 28 by Carver, S. was applied to the sample, adapted and standardized for the Peruvian population by Levano, J. (2018). Among the main conclusions, it is indicated that a frequent use of coping strategies focused on the problem was found, a lower use of coping strategies focused on emotion and a scarce use of avoidance strategies. The last two strategies, because they are military personnel, must be corrected. Motivational talks were recommended and, if possible, apply programs already developed in other countries to develop and promote stress coping strategies in military personnel.
