Abstract

The research objective was: To determine the Seroprevalence of Hepatitis Markers in donors from the Blood Bank of Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud during the months of January to December 2019 Material and methods: This research is quantitative and retrospective, with a non-experimental, descriptive design. We worked with a sample of 2,133 applicants suitable for interviewing blood donors. For the information analysis, the SPSS V.24 statistical package was used. Results: The seroprevalence of hepatitis markers in blood donors attending Hospital III Iquitos EsSalud from January to December 2019 was 8.91%; according to sex, male (6.89%) and female (2.02%); according to age, the most frequent range was 36 to 45 years (3.33%). Conclusions: The seroprevalence of Hepatitis Markers is high; Research on the main associated risk factors should be encouraged, indicating the behavior and characteristics of the donor population, reinforcing prevention and control programs for this disease.
